January 05 Our first beauty pageantWe have been very busy with the holidays and all. I want to let everyone know that we have entered our product, Solace by Health InfoSTAT, in the Microsoft Ingenuity Point contest. The Ingenuity Point Contest is a showcase for software solutions that are making a difference in the areas of Healthcare, Education and Environment. I was very impressed with the competition entry method and product content requested... interestingly revealing and insightful. Anyway, some of this information is included on the Ingenuity Point site and available for your review. We need your vote to be this month's most innovative technology solution. Visit http://www.theingenuitypoint.com/, click People’s Choice Gallery and vote for us! I thank you in advance for your support…. Also, pass this on to friends and associates as you deem appropriate…
November 12 Solace "under the hood" tech view...Denny Boynton, an Architect Evangelist for Microsoft, recently posted on the underlying architecture of Solace. Check it out at http://blog.dennyboynton.com/2007/11/12/RealLifeSoftwareServiceHealthInfoSTAT.aspx WHO I am and WHY you need to know...My name is John Struckhoff and I live in St. Louis, Missouri I have been in the software business since the days of the punch card and have worked in health care computing since the days of the ledger card. I have been fortunate to witness advances in computer technology and health care delivery options. Years ago, actually before the Atlanta Olympics, my wife and I had an idea that we believed had value but technology could not deliver in an affordable packaging... That was then, now our vision is here today and is available to all Americans. Problem Statement: What information is necessary to save my life in case of an emergency? Response: Lynn, my wife and a registered nurse, used her medical training and experience to outline several categories of information that is considered important... providing the big picture. We constructed a workbook that is easy to understand by regular folks, with simple instructions and practical examples. This workbook was the content design basis for the Solace product... a personal health record (PHR). Think about health care today... patient care information is predominantly contained in paper charts and not readily available, especially after hours! Besides, too much CYA detail in most medical charts. Compound this reality with the specialization of healthcare (now we have multiple care providers and multiple paper records) and the mobility of our society (I have lived in multiple states in my career) there is no single source of important health information that is portable and readily accessible. This is why I decided to build the Solace product and provide the Health InfoSTAT service. Bottom line... don't count on your doctors, insurance provider, employer or government to help you... you have to help yourself and your loved ones. Simply stated, if you do not take an interest in your PHR, no one else will. Solace is a desktop software product written using Microsoft technologies... it is free and available to everyone in the good old USA. Solace helps you organize your pertinent health history. Your Solace profile can be posted to our secure service (for a nominal annual fee) making your PHR information and important documents available to health care providers and family. You control what information and documents are available to specific groups of users (care providers, family and significant other) based on profile passwords. Check out my latest creation, Solace. I suggest you download and print the Free Health Profile Organizer to assist in getting your PHR in order. Then fire up Solace and enter your profile content and print your personal PHR... you can do one for each member in your family... at no cost to you. Your Solace PHR is password secured on your computer and all information is encrypted. If you are considering the service, check out our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use... because Solace is Peace of Mind. |
